I had an accident last Saturday. I was on my way to fetch my bao bei from her house. As i was travelling along PIE, the 3rd lane, there was a jam. So i slowed down. When i was at the Paya Lebar Flyover, i came to a stop as the vehicle infront of me stopped. I have a habit of looking at my mirror to look behind, and what i saw was a car came dashing to me, I was on the phone with my baobei, I just shouted, "OH DIE!" next moment, the car banged into me. I told my baobei i had an accident and i hangedup the phone. Went out to see the damages, it looks like it's just dented, i walked to the side, i saw the bumper hanging out. OH MAN! DIE DIE DIE! The person who knocked to my car is a 22 yr old Regular in the Airforce. He kept apologizing to me. He even told me he was distracted. How honest of him! Hahaha. Anyway, we went to fix the car, his mom insisted on us repairing our car at her workshop. What to do? We went to her workshop. They assess the vehicle, they say cost is around $1500. The guy's mom was shock! At first they wanted to pay us by cash, but they told us(me and my mom) that $1500 is too much for them to handle. After which, we went to our workshop instead, hoping it will be cheaper, but what we heard is that our damages is worse than what we see. The boot is damaged, underneath the car is also damages. Total cost of repair may go up to $3000 to $4000. We called the guy's mom, she decided to pay by insurance, so... We went ahead to repair the car. But she still insist we do it at her workshop. So we went there to repair. I forgot to mention, why are we saving money for her? Because she told my mom she is a single mother, and when she heard it was $1500, she nearly cried. Tears just filled her eyes. Me and mom just feel so sad for her.
